Cash when arriving in Brazil
When arriving in Brazil, if travelers have in cash a total amount that exceed R$ 10.000,00, or the equivalent in another foreign currency, it is required to submit the Electronic Declaration of Travelers Goods (e-DBV).
VERY IMPORTANT: THE CURRENCY MENTIONED ABOVE IS IN BRAZILIAN REAL.
Should be declared the total cash in national or foreign paper money, not included the titles of credit, checks or traveler's checks.
WHAT TRAVELERS SHOULD SUBMIT TO THE CUSTOMS
The amount in cash declared; and
The Electronic Declaration of Travelers Goods (e-DBV).
The e-DBV can filled in through the Internet at edbv.receita.economia.gov.br address for computer or laptop; and m.edbv.receita.economia.gov.br for Tablets or Smartphones or even through the App "Travellers", available in Google Play or App Store stores.
WHERE THE e-DBV SHOULD BE SUBMITTED
The e-DBV should be submitted where happens the customs control of goods, when the traveler arrives and before leaving the Customs area.
